Austrian Hirtenberger military pistol cartridges in caliber 9mm Steyr. This cartridge is nearly identical to the 9mm Largo a.k.a. the 9mm Bayard Long. The case length is 22.7mm as opposed to the 23mm case of the 9mm Largo. Bullet diameter is the same for both cartridges. This cartridge was designed originally for the Austrian Steyr Model 1912 automatic military pistol. It works well also in the Spanish Destroyer carbine and the Spanish Astra Model 400 pistol.
